The gentle trickle of the fountain in the courtyard was a soothing melody. Eleanor sat on a stone bench, sipping her tea and watching the colorful koi swim in the pond. The meticulously manicured gardens, the fragrant blooms – everything felt perfect. A sense of calm settled over her, a quiet happiness that permeated her entire being.

“Remember that art gallery opening?” she said to Jessica, a smile gracing her face. “The artist was so talented.”

Jessica frowned. “Which one? I don’t think I enjoyed the gallery.”

“The one with the abstract paintings? The one where you kept saying you didn’t understand the work. The artist was so talented, he explained the meaning of each painting to us!”

“I remember him talking to us, but I don’t remember understanding a single thing. I recall the paintings being mostly just… random shapes.”
